Bio

Roseanne Jones is a Christchurch-based artist and photographer, holding a Bachelor of Design (Photography) from ARA Institute of Canterbury (2016–2018). Her creative practice is deeply influenced by vintage photography and alternative printing methods, which she blends into contemporary mixed-media works.
Her portfolio is strongly rooted in the landscapes of Christchurch, with a particular focus on black-and-white winter trees. Roseanne’s work often takes the form of Photo Mixed Media, combining pigment-ink prints with materials such as acrylic paint, encaustic medium, cold wax, and oil paint—always with her photographic imagery at the core.

With a strong eye for detail and a commitment to experimentation, Roseanne has received national recognition for her work. Her awards include the Canon Eyecon Award and the title of NZIPP Student of the Year.
Over the past eight years, she has become a familiar presence in the Christchurch art community, regularly exhibiting and selling her work in numerous art exhibitions and shows.
